Complacency


The baby in this picture looks so quiet and peaceful.....totally relaxed, in a state of oblivion. Although the baby is comfortable in this present state, it would be unhealthy for them to stay in that position and not grow, and thrive or flourish. Many times we can become like this baby.....too relaxed, and comfortable in the state that we are in and we stop reaching and just keep settling. Never be satisfied with the car when you can own the lot. Too remove the stagnant mindset created by complacency you have to have a daily plan to fulfill different task. For instance, if you want to lose 20 pounds in two months then you have to have a plan to eat right and exercise daily and not stop half-way through and celebrate. Once you lose the 20 then set a higher goal for 30, 40 or even 60 more pounds if you desire. Through my daily meditations I am learning to press beyond the norm and instead of expectaing great..expect greater and take the steps necessary to be the greatest you that you can be. Besides....whose stopping you but YOU.
